N54 surging and multiple faults after adaptations reset

Looking for some help here. I changed an o2 sensor a couple weeks after getting a SES light for pre-cat, bank 1 sensor. The light was out for a couple of weeks and I got another SES light on a couple days ago. It went out before we scanned it again and when we did it was showing the same code again. My friend at the dealer said it just needed the adaptations reset. So he hooked up the car and had me hang out while it reset. Everything seemed ok and I drove home. After a couple hours I went to drive somewhere and the engine revs bounce quickly from 1100-1500 rpm on its own. Giving it throttle does nothing and I'm getting numerous messages for DBC, DSC, Engine malfunction, and Start-off assistance malfunctions. I can't drive the car because the throttle pedal is not doing anything. My friend says it has to be brought to the dealer. I'm hoping I can find another solution. Thanks for any help in advance

Reset throttle adapt but dont use the cable. Use the video on youtube. Basically you put key in ig, floor acccelerator pedal, turn on igntion, keep pedal floor for 10 sec. . Turn off ig/remove key and then release pedal.

STart car.

Thanks! I did a search but didn't see one specific to the E90. The E46 video seemed to be the most popular. Is the procedure the same? I'll try the procedure you mentioned as soon as I'm able.

This worked like a charm. I just have an SES which is likely for the o2 still but that can be sorted. Thanks a ton!

cool - good deal. Never understood what it was with the throttle reset process when using a cable but it rarely works right.. And the non-cable method seems to work right everything.. IDK..
