FCP euro injectors

I ordered three injectors for my 2008 335i from FCP Euro and when they arrived today I opened them up to find out that they were clearly used parts they didn't even try to clean them very well. All three still have carbon built up in the grooves and scuff marks in the metal from being installed in someones else's cylinder head. I just sent an email explaining my dissatisfaction and before I tear them apart I will definitely wait to hear their response. However, in the meantime I am curious to see if anyone else has had a similar experience with them.

The burnt looking top where the welds are is normal for brand new injectors. I don't know about the scratches though.

Thank you for the reply that gives me a little hope. I've never seen a set of new injectors so I didn't have much to compare too.

FCP has great customer service, I'm sure they will take care of you. It's surprising that you received used parts. FCP has a lifetime warranty on parts purchased from them, I wonder if someone took advantage of this and tried passing their old ones off as new returns? Doesn't explain how they got to you though.

I just received a reply from FCP and they said it was a mistake and they only sell new parts, and somehow I was sent a set that was returned from a customer. They will be sending me a new set ASAP. I will be sure to update this thread when they arrive. I hate to bad talk a company because everyone makes mistakes but this seemed a little fishy. I am hopeful this is just an anomaly because their lifetime warranty is incredible and so far their customer service is great.

I've bought just about everything from FCP for multiple cars and never received user parts.
I've had parts go bad but nothing that their customer services team did not fix right away.

I'm almost positive it's a mistake.

Next time, deal directly with the company and exhaust your options with those channels before making a knee-jerk reaction to post pictures of you flicking them off on a public forum.

It'll make you look less like a child.

Looks like you already teared them apart posting it on forum, before even getting an answer from them. Speaks what kind of person you are

As others have said it is probably a mistake. I have used FCP euro for all my parts and they have awesome customer service. They definitely will do their best to make it right to you

Not a knee jerk reaction at all. My intention was to find out about others experiences with the company, hoping to prove myself wrong. My finger in the picture was only there to cover my address not flick them off and now that you point it out it does look like that (not what I was going for there). As myself and others mentioned everyone makes mistakes but when you spend $400 for something you could have run down to the local junk yard and pulled yourself I think its fair to get a little upset. Not to mention I was supposed to drop these in tonight and head out of town tomorrow which adds to the frustration and urgency. Anyway thank you all for the replies it sound like everyone has nothing but positive things to say about FCP euro. And I will be sure to either edit or delete this post to reflect my satisfaction with the company once they correct my issue. Thank you for your service captain comic...by the way I'm a Citadel grad if that tells you anything about the type of man I am.
