ChiDiddy 335d Dyno Results...Houston, TX

View My Video

Max Hp was 346, max torque was 546.

Mods:
JR 2.8 race tune
Iaknown's ATM Turboback exhaust
ATM FMIC
Swirl flap delete
Vacuum line replacement
AAR EGR delete race pipe
Stock airbox

Dyno'd at Enginelogics via Dyno Dynamics @ 90+degree F.

Pretty happy with results. Probably need an aftermarket intake now to help reduce smoke and improve breath ability.

Special thanks to:
Iaknown
AArodriguez
and all the forum members who paved the way and wrote DIYs.

ChiDaddy, we missed you at the meetup in August. I need to have my car run similar to yours. I still have stock IC but I am running the ATM intake box.

Agree with the correction question. I have a JR 2.8, no upgraded intake or intercooler. Just the tune, buzzken DP, gutted stock exhaust, AAR Race Pipe, and xHP Stage 3 trans flash. I dynod on a Dynocom and had it corrected to dynojet readings. I got 380hp and 600tq.

Some WMI would make a nice addition.

This response is probably not worth anything but when I did runs on a Dyno Dynamics the readouts were at the wheels.

Yeah, that was all I was asking was it to the wheels or some derived number for CHP.

Very impressive improvement. Basically about +100whp and 150wtq from a tune and a downpipe as compared to stock http://www.***********.com/images/re...ieseltune2.jpg. Pretty impressive gains considering most turbocharged gasoline cars can't do that on stock turbos.

Power to the wheels

Dyno dynamics are known to read lower than dynojets. It woulda been great if I did a before/after to have a baseline.

Wheel. My reading was reduced by 7% to be more in-line with how a dynojet would read.

Wow, 380 is quite hefty for 2.8. I wonder if there is variability in cars with the exact same parameters? I only run JR 2 which according to the website is only down about 20 hp. My point is I run open exhaust, cool intake IA kit, no ERG cooler, bimmertune EGR plugin (same concept as AAR Racepipe, and i would have bought Andrew's but ordered other of UK ebay before he released), swirl flap delete (but this has nothing to do with power). Trying to say that others had dynoed what i had and got more like 330 hp at wheels.

I would have thought you had meth injection and aftermarket intercooler at least to get 380 at wheels. That's impressive!

There is variance between dynos and locations. Power can vary with ambient temperature, elevation, brand of dyno, etc. Every small thing changes the reading. I was shocked by the numbers too, but am very happy. And I can say the car certainly does feel like it has ALL of the power. I don't have any of the extra goodies... yet

this makes me excited. I am going to get on the dyno this weekend. with JBD probably cranked to 90% with plans of doing an after dyno with 2.8 tune with EGR race pipe, DP, and gutted SCR. so Im excited to see those numbers you are achieving.

just did a quick search on e90 M3 numbers 350whp/254wtq.....about the same power with double TORQUE. cant wait for ///M guys to point me by on the track!

Cuda, if you check Andrew's site, the 2.8 is at least +40hp and +75ft/lb vs stg 2. I know Yozh can vouch for it as well, but fairly noticeable upgrade and much less soot on back bumper

Thanks. Maybe I'll get that at end of year. I've spent my mod allotment for 2017.

It will be fine.
I was set on the JR 2.5 tune for my X5 and was told the 2.8 tune still has all of the same safety measures in place so the car can protect itself if needed.

Plus JR worked really hard on the 2.8 tune and I found that it was much more refined than the 2.5 as evident by the extra power while producing less smoke.

JR2.8 is a great refined tune. You will love it.
