Coating on GP 7500K

What is this coating for? It's mostly out of curiosity..mine is silver, I heard most were blue.

And also while installing them in my angel eyes I lightly scratched the coating..will this effect performance?

Did you scratch both? If not and they look the same, you're fine.

Yeah both are scratched, but they look fine. I don't understand how you guys got those bulbs in there without scratching the paint off the tip a little. Any special technique?

BTW; the coating is soo soft it's almost like powdered on...that's how easily it gets scratched.

Fogs were a lot easier for me to install then the angel eyes. My hand just did not fit in that little hole.

mine's the other way around. the angel eyes are easier than the fogs.
