Latvia and spares
I’m searching for a replacement headlight for my 2012 E92. I see a number that originate in Latvia at great prices. Does anyone have experience buying and having shipped from this country.
Save the comments please on buying locally. I always lead in that direction. The Latvia prices are half or third of domestic prices. I plan to buy locally. Thought this would be an interesting collaboration if anyone has experience. Especially if Latvia sells parts that don’t meet DOT specs and people’s safety is risk. Look forward to hearing back! |

Who is the seller from Latvia? If it is start245 , I've dealt with them multiple times. I bought a new euro adaptive headlights and a brand new door panel from them. Both are OEM. They are very professional and helpful. I would recommend them.

Latvia is a part of European Union but I think you still have to pay customs to ship stuff from there. As well European headlight standards is different than US (I know that when you ship a car from US to EU you need to change it's headlights to be able to register it there) so you might want to look into that but if everything checks out please let us know. I am going to visit Baltic states after a couple of months and it that's the case I will get a set for myself straight from there

On other cars with halogens, one of my first mods has been to replace the DOT headlights with E-codes. The beam pattern with halogens is far superior. The BMW HIDs are so expensive that I haven't done this. (But if I need to replace them, I might switch to the E-codes, too.)
