Dumb question on the paint. Was this to lower temps in engine compartment ? Quite the opposite will happen depending if car is still or going down road. Paint will increase the emittance over bare stainless and actually cool the pipe down a little. Likely more a thing when engine just shut down and no more external air flow. White paint might actually cool better as it's emittance is like 0.9 where as black at 0.8.

Yes. I wanted to keep the heat in the downpipe. I also had a few cans on the shelf so, it didn't really cost me anything to spray it quick before I installed. No idea if there was any real benefit.

Edited my entry after your answer. Pipe will be cooler post shutdown. Good luck on sale. I have one of his pipes too with cat.

Curious, what is differnence in this type downpipe & BPC, or ATM(AFM cant remember )?
or is it jus tater to 1 & potato 2 another |

Hopefully no one is quibbling over the cost. Bohl's use of materials and workmanship were top notch. $400 is a decent deal. Sleeper, a picture would likely help your cause.
