RE Ikon exhaust installed on 328i...It sounds sooo good!

2011 N51 328i 100% stock except for this new exhaust, I have it installed for 4 days and approx. 50 miles now and the exhaust sounds soo good!

Not sure why this exhaust isn't as hyped up, but I originally ordered the AA signature gen 2, but they were out of stock and would take 6 weeks to ship. So i canceled the order and got the Ikon instead.

I'm still breaking in the exhaust right now, I swear it sounds better and better every day when I go to start it up. As of right now, I would say it sounds about 75% similar to the BMW PE in terms of sound. Nice subtle growl/burble, but not too intrusive or ricer sounding.

I will post a sound clip once I hit 1,000 miles with the exhaust so it's fully broken in.

$550 + $20 shipping + $80 install (welded)...best $650 I ever spent. I'm a happy camper

I have enjoyed the Ikon exhaust for many years. I would say it's a refined sound more suitable for the older folks like myself. Those who think muffler deletes sounded "nice" will find the Ikon tame by comparison.

I agree, the sound is nice and refined. Not cheap or ratchet sounding like a muffler delete. Loud enough, but not too loud and definitely not a cop magnet.

Sounds like it has similar characteristics to my resonator delete and a quieter Magnaflow setup. Very mellow tone without any rasp or annoying tones, not loud either.

Wish I knew about this option as my system probably didn’t cost much less all-in!

I'd love to hear it. I have a 335 and did the golf tee mod on the exhaust and it's pretty growly now...

Offer for Kim J.U.

Let's all chip in and buy Kim J.U. a new M4 and throw in a bonus of two vestal virgins. All he has to do is dismantle his nuclear program and guaranty free elections.
Wadda ya say?

Would you still recommend this?

Hey man I'm trying to decide if its worth $580 + labor to get the RE IKON muffler installed. And maybe more money to delete the secondary cats, but I don't want a bad smell because of doing that so idk.

What are your thoughts nowadays?

I did muffler and resonator delete on my 328 and it sounds great, was I think $300 after tips and labor. its not too loud and not too much drone. Cat delete sounds raspy on these cars imo. Otherwise if you want something more like bmw PE this or AA is probably best option
