It's Key/Car memory; you don't need to code it. Although the dealer usually charges an outrageous fee to do it so it might be cheaper to find someone other than the dealer.

His car is an '08 so it has to be at least FRM2, which means AE as DRL can be coded. This has been covered in the coding forums of this messageboard.
It's my understanding that LCI, ('09) models can have this selected without coding. |

I can do it in my 07 non-idrive through the stalk "key" memory options. Maybe it's a Xenon vs. non-Xenon thing?

I have an '07 10/06 build with FRM1. I have LED AEs, but it is not possible to code as DRL in FRM1. I have coded AE as DRL and corner delete on a post 3/07 '07 which has FRM2. |

In fact, I didn't realize the OP has E92 so all my comments are probably not exactly useful in this case. |
