Hi I want to update my sat nav but understand I need to have the CIC firmware updated to enable the system to accept the latest update on USB stick
The current maps version says Europe Premium 2009-2

Is there anyone on here in Norfolk or East Anglia who can help

When viewing the map, in the bottom left, do you have an "I" in the black circle (next to the zoom scale) or is it blank?

I had that little 'i' and updated from 2008 maps to 2017. Don't even know how 2008 maps were available on a 2009 car? So if you have 2009 maps OP you might still have up to date firmware. The previous owner of my car probably got it updated.

Correct, if you have the I then you can update via USB.

My car is MY09 but had been updated by previous owner so could update maps via USB.

So I should be ok to get the 17.2 updated maps then

But which maps do I need ? the nav says Europe Premium but on vin decoder it says my car has the professional system ?

You need Western European Premium.
