335d jolt when accelerating

Just wondering if this is normal, when putting the foot down in comfort or anything above there is almost a delay then bang away she goes. Been driving a works vehicle for a while and not sure if it's something i need to get looked at or if I'm just forgetting how it was?

Mine always did this to some extent, and my guess is that's it's the way the autobox and xdrive system is.

Yes it does this in comfort mode, sport mode or a couple of blips on the left paddle fix it though.
