BMW Wheel and Tyre Insurance

I had some quotes by the dealer as part as the hand over process yesterday, I was already aware off these but know they have got me thinking should I purchase?

Quoted 」499 for three years cover on both wheel and tyres.

* Payment towards the repair or replacement costs of tyres damaged either accidentally or by a malicious act.
* Cover provided for 3 years.
* The policy covers the full cost of replacing tyres with 6mm or more of tread depth and 50% of costs for those tyres with between 2mm and less than 6mm of tread depth (subject to cover level chosen).
* You can make up to 5 claims in the period of insurance.

* All repairs come with a 3 year guarantee.
* Cover for 3 years.
* 」10 Excess to pay per claim.
* Damage must cover no more than 50% of the wheel rim or be no more than 15cm in diameter on the main body of the wheel.

Checked total loss gap 」189 3 years cover diamond cut covered, 4 claims per 12 months. Might go with that one.

Cooper Reading offered me Diamond Cut cover for ツ」1000. I walked...

So far spent ツ」120 on a single refurbishment.
All 4 repaired under warranty.
Plugged one tyre myself.

I think it is their job to honour diamond cut under warranty.

I just seen that as a total package might go with that then.

I picked my F36 this morning and they offered me Tyre and wheel insurance for テつ」399, a few days before I phoned Frank Pickles I was quoted テつ」329 and テつ」370 ish for 3 years with テつ」150 and テつ」300 claim limit per tyre respectively. This included the forum discount.

I showed the dealer this and they said they would match the テつ」329 quote and the dealers cover was with テつ」300 per tyre limit. The only downside is the dealers cover only allows 5 alloy wheel repairs whereas Frank Pickles was 9 repairs.

Didn't take note of if covered diamond cut, but my wheels aren't diamond cut and Frank Pickles policy definitely didn't cover them.
