I’m enjoying the all round practicalities of my F31 so much that I’m thinking about replacing it for another one. Although I’ve never thought that my current 335d xd handles very well when pushed, so I’m appealing to anyone who maybe has knowledge of both the 335d xd and the 440i M Sport, having already gone down this route?

I’m aware of the standard suspension fitted to the 335d xd (I have ACS springs fitted) and realise that the 440i will have proper M Sport suspension (I would also spec adaptive dampers, as mine also has). My question... ‘will the 440i drive/handle significantly better than the 335d?’

Of course I will arrange a test drive, but it would be nice to know of anyone else’s findings just to give me an idea of what to expect. It’d be great to know, also, what current F31 440i M Sport owners think of the handling.

The 440i is a 2 door coupe (or a 4 door Gran Coupe) while the F31 is a tourer i.e. a 340i, not a 440i. Can we start with the right car and go from there?

Bugga! What am I on? Sorry, I was clearly away with the fairies whilst typing... The 440 is on my serious contenders list but, as you suspected Lorcan, I did actually mean the 340i (F31).
