The others all came early.

BMW navigation..... not good ...RTTI even worse in UK, I have Pro Nav 2014 car. Sends me on bonkers routes especially when I know that the route they suggest will be hours longer than the route I would take.

I now ignore the traffic congestion (red line) on the map as for 90% of the time its way out of date!

The old atlas was more reliable

How does the ota updates get activated? My car was delivered new on the 20th October this year and the map is 2017-2. It says the 2017-3 is available but won’t download

Any ideas?

It’s pro nav id6 so Nbtevo

Does your connecteddrive portal say you have “automatic map updates”?

I had the same problem.....my car was delivered on 2nd August and had 2017-2 loaded. I have 'automatic map update' on my connected drive account so I e-mailed BMW customer services and after some 'e-mail tennis' which got me no further forward I ended up manually downloading 2017-3 on to a USB and installing the bugger myself.
Now I find 2017-4 is out and clearly several owners already have it from on OTA update but I'm still not one of them!
I've e-mailed customer services, YET AGAIN!, so shall wait and see what bullshit they come back with this time around!!!

I never had a problem with the ProNav, RTTI or the routing but must admit the integrated Google maps and Google on-line traffic in the new Aldi takes the piss out of it.

Then just wait for it to auto update the UK map, or download the usb update which updates the whole Europe map.

Spoke to BMW customer services, don’t think they were sure of the day of the week let alone any reason why it hasn’t updated.
So I’ve downloaded the map on a USB, it’s taking ages to unzip to the usb drive

I’m just trying to update from 2017-2 to 2017-3. 2917-4 isn’t there either

It is random mate, sometimes people on here get the ota update a week or more before me, I guess they must stagger the updates so they’re servers aren’t overloaded by a few million cars all downloading map updates at the same time!

Think I’ve managed to update to 2017-3 via usb, I’ll keep an eye on the map version to see if it updates to -4 on its own.

I received the OTA update to 2017-4 today and was pleasantly surprised to find that a few local A roads now have improved RTTI coverage. In particular, A34 Alderley Edge Bypass which for some unknown reason was never covered is now working along with some smaller local A roads in the same area. Assuming similar improved coverage in other areas, it is a worthwhile update. Interested to know if anyone else has noticed these improvements elsewhere?
