Blue m sport - what pads?
Hi all, I bet this has been asked loads of times and I did try the search bar but I didn’t get a definitive answer.
I have the blue m sport callipers and my I drive is showing 3500 miles until front pads need replacing, I spoke to BMW today and they want £277 to replace them which seems a bit much to me. What are the best pads to use on this brake setup and where’s the best place to get them? |

I think they just make up a number. My BMW dealer wanted £240+ got a Indy to do them OEM for £197
Look on thread below they have advice on discs and pads |

I must be one of the few who hasn’t got the squeal yet, if I got some pagid ones would it invalidate the warranty. Do you have the part number for them and where did you buy them from? Sorry for all the questions

I don't get any squeal (Pagids) - I did put a lot of copper grease on the backs and where the springs touch. Prior to the change of pads (at 58k) I only got the squeal in reverse.

Plus extra 14% off with current discount code. Yes they won’t be under BMW warranty, but if they go wrong you can buy another set and still be £190 up! |

I'm interested to know what upgraded pads people have used and how they compare to OEM. In the past I've used Ferodo DS2500 on an Alfa 156 V6 and Yellow Stuff on and Octavia VRS, both of which provided better performance.

I've got Pagid pads but don't suffer from any squeal at all, I put a good smear of CRC Disc Brake Quiet on the back of each pad and they're silent, it's weird how some people suffer with the issue and others don't, I believe there's a BMW Tech instruction to try to resolve the issue for customers.

Those are the two others on here have tried. Mixed opinions for the yellows, universally good opinions for the DS2500 (although officially they're not road legal).

If the Jurid ones for these cars are anything like the ones for older cars, they're all good - but dusty as fuck
