Anybody VT’d with ACS springs still on?

Has anybody been successful in VT’ing and just left the springs on?

I think it’s a “no no” - but interested if anybody has real life experience of this?

My springs were fitted by dealer, not sure if that makes any difference.

Thanks

Yes, I did, don't worry about it. Just keep quiet to avoid any issue.

I was going to remove mine, but 37 month old bolts were less amenable than 6m old bolts, so I decided not to bother.

Yes.
Kept quiet, no one noticed or mentioned it or cared.

Until they crop up on a climbing forum I frequent, panicking that a youth has dropped their new purchase Saxo-style and the car is obviously ruined. Non-OEM does strange things to people.

Has that actually happened? Please share a link... sounds hilarious

I returned everything to stock since TCM Tuning offered a really keen price for the swap back. I then sold the springs.

Funny thing is - I wouldn't buy a car with mods but would happily make the changes myself. Whoever bought my car got a standard car but one that did not have a full KDS after the old springs went back on so will handle poorly and wear the tyres!

Which is worse I wonder...

I should imagine quite a few go back with them on. I've had customers order springs only to find their car already had them...
