Looks really good - like a 435/440i. Did you have it made? And what size are the tips? 3in?

Cheers. Think they're 3.5" from memory. Yes they're custom made. £354

Very reasonable price too - never understood why BMW didn't stick a decent looking stock exhaust on the 335d/435d!?

Those look good! I went with BMS tips on my 340i and I'm relatively happy. I do agree that the stock tips are under-whelming.

That looks great - who made the exhaust for you ? Does it have a back box or just dual split pipes ?

I bet if you sold/traded that car to some non-car person who just liked the colour/badge, they'd say it was standard to their insurer.

I think the 35d worst feature is that exhaust. Even just a better version of what it's got.
It's like BMW purposely gave it a crap design to put people off it.

At 3yr warranty point ours will be getting a 340i style bumper and a twin exit like that.

What is the noise like now with no back box?
Quiet until on boost no doubt

It's actually not any different sound wise until you put your foot down but even then you would be hard pressed to tell it apart from what it was. It does sound noticeable when the car does it's regen though!

Did you just get a 435i/440i bumper in the same colour and swap it over?

Only replaced the diffuser (440i). It only comes in one colour which is close to mineral grey coincidently. Ordered it from Cotswolds bmw Cheltenham as they do a discount for forum members + free p&p on orders over £50. Cost me £102 for the record. And before anyone asks I'm not a fan of the m performance defuser.
