nono.. not now I'm just wrapping up 29.2 tuning right now. We still need to see if we need to add anything else to the wire pack for the Progman/v81 ecu. Almost there.

It wouldnt be fair if he shipped a bunch of v3 upgrade kits that ended up not working with program 29.2, and needed more wires. I think waiting to test them first is the right thing to do...

Does the v3 plug&play new install version have the proper wires to handle the 29.2/v81 stuff ?

The PnP already has the necessary wires in it. Just need to make a couple of pinout changes for 29.2 application.

so shiv,

i currently have 07 335i which was built in Oct 2006 and never took it to the dealer.
so, if i get v3 pnp for the one that you are testing for program v29.2, will it make any trouble under current old program or when i upgrade to v29.2?

i have no intention to update the program to v29.2 but i just wanted to know.

It sounds like waiting for the plug and play upgrade is better than getting the wire kit. What happens if BMW throws another curve ball after 29.2 that requires some other wire changes/additions?

The new 29.2/v81 specific v3 will work just fine in pre-29.2 cars. In fact, it may even become the default set-up. I have a hunch that there are some good things going on with the way it is controlling fuel.

Shiv,
With the V3 PnP harness, will the ground wire still be exposed in the engine bay or hidden inside the ECU box? Thanks.

Excellent. When I take mine out I will ship it to you for free, so you can have one to look at outside of the car.
