Thanks - I wish BMW would notify us when they make new maps available or am I missing a way to do this? Especially as there are so many different sorts - I've just checked what it will let me download and it is still 'Road Map EUROPE Next 2017-2'. I have a new road locally that I am still waiting to appear on a map...

Mine is a 2015 so I don't get OTA - in fact I only recently realised I could pay a subscription & download USB updates via Connected Drive for 2 years... I couldn't be bothered with sourcing maps from elsewhere and for £70 the BMW option seems good enough value...

My car is on 1/16 maps I think, and said it's 'booked' till 10/2018 or something, and will auto download.

Doesn't look like it's auto downloading then if I'm on early 16 maps!

Yep, mine hasn’t auto download the maps, so I’ve just downloaded the whole thing. Weird how I’ve never seen an auto download actually happen, but then my journeys tend to be quite short (and others have said it starts at random times into the journey).
