Clucking Barsteward Gritter
Last night travelling along a NSL and a gritter comes into view. There was no option to turn around or hide so I decided to slow right down to a crawl. Said gritter lorry was clearly on some sort of clucking mission and hammered past with spreader on maximum, cue some serious peppering of my bodywork.
I jet washed the car tonight and it revealed 10+ chips on the front bumper (the paint has been dislodged rather than chipped, meaning you can feel a paint lump). I also have several small chips on the windscreen, fortunately I haven’t found any on the bonnet. I am livid ; feel slightly better sharing...not sure if it’s worth speaking to the council. |

I agree, they're a menace.
It's bad enough when you catch one up - you can at least choose to follow at a safe distance until it turns off or there's a place to pass. Having one approach you as ongoing traffic on a regular road is horrible.
