Just had the windshield replaced by Safelite AutoGlass.

OEM Glass -- receipt says 640.00 Total.

It does seem weird that the side and rear windows are made by Saint-Gobain and the windshield is SISECAM.

BMW sourced parts from whichever co pang can provide the parts at a low price while maintaining quality. The E46 (3 series from 1999-2006) had 2 suppliers of alternators, auto trannies and other parts. It’s called globalization.
