BMW X3 Event in Pleasant Grove UT - lots of colors / configurations on display
Featured on BIMMERPOST.com They had Phytonic Blue, Glacier Silver, Dark Olive, and Terra Brown. The dealer also had a Black Sapphire on the corner of the lot. I looked up the VIN on the Dark Olive, and apparently the code is actually C07 "sparkling storm", but from what I gather online it's the same as Dark Olive from the X3 build site. Enjoy! |

My gf picked a 2018 black sapphire X3 Saturday. Damn. The interior makes my 335 look sad.

thanks for sharing. Nice to see some actual colors aside from BMW Greyscale plus Blue...Dark olive is subtle and Terra Brown is rather striking.

Sad day when Phytonic Blue and Sapphire Black are the best colors available. BMW really phoned in that color palette.

I also find that a bit boring (have always had blue, brown, or reddish cars), but apparently I'm in the minority as the general public has either 1) decided they prefer the more black/white/gray cars or 2) don't want to pay the extra money that dealers now charge for non-basic colors. It is also part of the last fashion--if you see a teal car now, it looks so dated like it belongs in the 80's!! |

I love those colors....
1. Phytonic Blue 2. Black Sapphire 3. Terra Brown 4. Glacier Silver 5. Dark Olive If people bought more these beautiful colors, there would be a sea of sadness with too many gray cars.. We are alive .. |

I wish BMW would step up its leatherette game. Entire 2/3 series and X1/X3 only have Sensatec ( which is awful ) and Dakota leather which is still quite awful. Durable but not comfortable. Sat in a C300 with perforated MB tex the other week and it's light years ahead of what BMW offers in terms of comfort for the price.
New X3 looks really nice though.

I went to a release party for this X3 in Honolulu just this past weekend. I was surprised how similar the size was with the X1...like the X3 is just barely larger. I also wanted to vomit when I saw the fake air breathers. Everyone on bimmerpost said they were fake but I couldn't believe it until I saw them myself. Why BMW? They have to cut into the fender to make that fake vent so why didn't they just slice into the wheel well to make it connect? Still a cool, and good looking car. The engine bay is massive and under used in the 4 cyl...looks like it could fit a V8.
One more hater comment: The folding seats don't work as advertised...you pull the releases and they get stuck and you have to walk around and pull them down lol.
