Reset throttle adaptations - F30 LCI 330D

Hi all,

I reset my throttle adaptions with the view it will improve the responsiveness in comfort mode but now traction is kicking in while I put my foot down and car is wheel spinning all over the place!

I used the following method :

* Press the start button once to turn on power (Don't start the engine)
* Press the accelerator down to the floor for at least 5 sec.
* Hit start button once to turn off power
* Remove foot from accelerator
* Wait for min. 2 minutes
* Start the engine and drive

Anyone know much about this and what the best thing is to do to resolve?

Thanks

I thought this procedure was just for the e90s, where did you get it from?

I got it from another thread - the procedure seemed to have worked but not sure if it was for the best

These cars automatically calibrate, so just drive around using full throttle at times. Once the ECU has relearned the min/ max it will return to exactly how it was before.

In fact you might just be able to give it full throttle with the engine off.

Did your car return to normal after a bit?

Is there any real advantage to this? If the car learns and adapts to your style, surely it would end up being the same no matter what you start off from?

I guess some drivers don't have any appreciation for their own driving style.

min 5secs quoted by OP is too short - 30sec minimum and TBA reset works on both my F series, albeit petrol cars [M135i and M2]

Since the reset I feel that is lag before the throttle kicks in now. Especially in comfort mode. Is this normal? Should it to back to normal after a week of driving?
