Valve cover breather inside valve cover fell off

A couple months ago I did my valve cover gasket and in the process my breather connection inside my valve cover fell of just like in the pelican diy that I used for reference: http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/tech...eplacement.htm

I used Loctite ultra gel control super glue. In hindsight I realize I should have used the better professional waterproof version that’s available or 2 part epoxy but I figured if crazy glue was referenced in the above DIY then I should be fine. Turns out the temp range is only up to 180 and is not recommended for hot liquids and not even recommended for dishwashers.

Should I be freaking out right now and plan on pulling the valve cover again? I’ve driven probably 500 miles with this in. I’m getting better at pulling it off but it’s still a major pita. Even if I do is there anything that would even work well in this application? I was thinking a 2 part epoxy. The article written above recommends gorilla super glue which is only temp rated to 220 and is based on the same Ethyl Cyanoacrylate that the loctite is based off.

I don't really have an answer for you, but mine also broke off and I used standard super glue on it. I couldn't tell for sure but it looked to me like it might be held in place by the head once everything is together

How long ago did you glue it? It fit close to the head but I'm not sure if it made contact. Maybe I shouldn't worry.

Same here. But mine was closer to 25k mi ago! No issues, but I'd be curious to take a peek under the valve cover again.

Anyone have a picture of what the valve cover breather looks like?
