328xi with GM trans, Two types of OEM fluid, but which one?

According to Realoem (To be ordered only by non-US dealers)
but this is the one I got from local Canada BMW dealership

http://www.realoem.com/bmw/enUS/show...diagId=24_1076

Part # is: 83222167718

According to Realoem (To be ordered by US dealers only)
According to CANADA online order, this is the only type of fluid that shows on their website.

It's probably the same stuff in a different bottle. Or they may have a different supplier in Canada. Either one should be fine.

That said, this is one case where there's really no need to use the OE fluid. GM uses the same transmission in their own vehicles with their own fluid. Any Dex 6 fluid will work just fine. I'd recommend an actual Dexron VI though, instead of a multi-vehicle that says it's compatible with Dex 6. I used Valvoline for mine.

Dealer charged $25 for a bottle.... Online BMW Canada charges $8 for a bottle. Im going to return the ones i got from the dealer.

That's a good point! Any Dexron VI is compatible.
