Has anybody used “broker4cars”?

Got a quote from “brokers4cars”.

They are offering a discount that seems too good to be true!

Has anybody got any experience of them?

Many thanks

I had some quoted from them earlier in the year deals sound great until you get the PCM payments. I think it was £750 pcm for a 335D loaded with 18k mileage allowance over 48 months.

Why not use CarWow? I got a great deal on a G30 via them.

Yes, I got my F31 335d from them earlier this year.

I was slightly sceptical before finally giving them the go ahead, with a zillion questions being asked.

I found them really good to deal with & also quite knowledgeable about car specs etc.

The one thing that I do need to mention is that you are not dealing with the supplying dealer directly. I did manage to get a last minute spec change through though. If you know what you are looking for, then they are able to do a cracking deal. I managed to get 4.8% APR finance, which was as good as anything BMW were offering at the time.

When the 0% came out, I couldn't bear to look at the deals .... but you do your deals with what is available at the time & without the benefit of a crystal ball !! The major plus I had was that I could spec the car exactly as I wanted, albeit slightly cost driven

They don't offer BMW finance apparently which is why the figures won't stack up

Not sure what the reasoning behind that is

Deal

X3 M40i. £6.5k discount. £4K deposit. Monthlies at 4.7% = £576.

Best dealer discount is £3.5k. They say they can’t get close to it at all.

Just seems too good to be true!!!

The headline discount figure looks impressive, but the GFV is low which buggers up the monthlies.

I think this is one of the main differences between these and a dealer quote.

Like this, a £44K 335d with a GFV of only £12.8K in 4 years.

But a low GFV means you are more likely to be in positive equity so win win. That's about £50 a month less than the previous numbers the OP put up - so if he is saving £50 a month and has a lower GFV that sounds perfect.

TBH, this is my concern with going with the broker. There are too many unknowns.

At least with the BMW dealer finance there is total clarity, and it may make changing it further down the line a wee bit easier. Things like VT may be harder through broker arranged finance.

Test driving 30d on Monday and will then see how I feel about the car. Still a bit nervous about orders by car without having driven it....

TBH while TRL is still doing great no-nonsense deals I wouldn't look anywhere else.
Yes, you could probably match or even beat his deal at some dealers, but you don't have to work for it with TRL. No haggling needed, just email him, get a quote and order. No brainer.

I’ve emailed him and he is on holiday until the end of November.

Will see if I can get him when he is back. Not sure whether he can deliver to Glasgow. Somebody had mentioned to me that you have to sign the PCP paperwork I the dealers offices? Not sure if this is correct.

As others have said, I believe you're better with BMW finance if possible.

I got BMW, Volvo and Audi to all match the really big discounts on broker4cars this year and several more in the last few years. You might just have to try more than one dealer.

My local dealers haven't been able to get close either, until recently on the Audi. The way I do it is to enter the car onto carwow as well. Then I contact directly the dealer with the biggest discount and say that I'll give them one chance to match broker4cars price (or whichever broker is cheapest), or I'll just buy it from the broker. 80% of the time it works as the carwow dealers are usually more flexible, occasionally I've had to contact a second dealer when the first didn't bite.

Because carwow quotes are directly from the dealers, they don't have to be take it or leave it offers, they can still be negotiated down further if you've got the energy to do it.

You don't need to sign at the dealers, you can sign and scan online as far as I'm aware.

To me it doesn't matter where I'm buying from. Dealer offers to deliver, but I quite like a train ride to go collect my car and have a long drive back to get used to the car. For the right deal it's worth it, and the dealers have always paid my train fare and collected me from the station. Dealers will also offer to put you up overnight if you're coming from further afield. It's pretty common practice for them to recommend and pay for hotels.

Never done that part, but with my 440 I took my little boy with me on the train and it was a great day out.

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Unfortuately the M40i doesnt come up as an option on carwow.

Im not in a huge rush to order - so may string it out a bit. I think the BMW year end is 31 December...so they may sharpen their pencils the nearer we get to Christmas!

Your deal is with the finance company, not the broker, who simply introduced the customer to them.
VT is a legal facility, which every finance deal has to have built in. The FCA (financial conduct authority) has rigid rules on what is acceptable in order to return a vehicle.

Shouldn't really matter. I had the same with a Volvo model I ordered for a friend recently. The right spec and engine wasn't there, I just clicked on the model in a different spec and got some quotes through.

Once I got a few quotes I just used the messaging system on carwow to tell them I wanted a different engine and spec and they just sent me a quote by e-mail.

If dealers are offering brokers discounts, it is unlikely that the dealers on carwow won't, it'll just be the carwow website that isn't up to date.
