Hidden Storage

Did you know that even though there is no storage well in the right side wall of the trunk (like in the previous gens), a storage well actually does exist if you take off the cover to the fuse box area? It looks like a hidden storage area.

It also exists on the other side too - behind the cover for where the hazard and emergency kit would be (that we don't get in the US).

While not convenient to put things in there that you would frequently use, it is space that can be used nonetheless.

This may or may not exist for those with the space saver spare?

Left side is part of the storage for the luggage cover. It stores under the floor but extends beyond the left side rail.

I have the space saver spare and it is in front of the tire in the cargo area. There is a styrofoam like cover over it normally, as shown in the first picture. I presume a similar location for those without the spare.

Of course, you charge the battery or jump the car using terminals under the hood.

But a great place to put emergency tools, etc that you hope to never actually need to get to!

That's what I'm thinking of... or anything you don't need constant access to. Even so, it's just pulling the panel off using the handle.

Fuse panel is hidden behind the noise insulation of the right side panel.
