Since I am sure many are interested in predicting their delivery date, I have put together a spreadsheet from forum data. If anyone wants to be removed, let me know and I will update. Also any updates would be great.

I try to call bmw NA, according to the system my car is in transit now, but bmw CA, they told me my car is still in production. Made me confusing

A day or so after my car actually finished being built, I called the BMW Genius to get status. They told me car had finished but was at "dock" waiting on transportation. Status on the website still said "In production".

So it may be a matter of semantics. Is car "in production" or "in transit" when they have finished making it but the physical transportation step has not actually begun yet?

My order date was Nov 16 but they gave me a dealer allocation for November production.

You may want to add

in day on train for me.
Talked to my salesperson on Dec 2nd, he said it's on rail according to the system.

updated, i was been told my m40i will be at Montreal port at Dec 12.

Apparently there has been a rail capacity issue (not enough rail cars to move the vehicles out of Spartanburg). This has added about a week to the normal delivery times. BMW is giving priority to "sold" units because we are approaching the end of the year and they want their numbers to be good. For the same reason, they may decide to move relatively more units by road.

My order has left the bodyshop and paint shop and is in assembly. I decoded the VIN and it has a production date of today.

That is probably true - the original estimated delivery for me was Dec. 8th, but now it's delayed to 12th.

That's what I've been told too. Hopefully I get it soon!

I ordered around November 23rd, the expected delivery date is Dec31, but I think it'll be the first week of January. This is from Ottawa as well.

No i dont! I drive my M3 during winter time as well, so maybe you'll see me You can't miss my license plate, it starts with CALM :P

I want to meet more of the M3 people in Ottawa as their is a big group of M3 drivers here, so I'll make the effort to get to know everyone this spring when they bring their cars out!

All I know at this point is that this is supposed to be production week for me. I might call BMW tomorrow just to see what they say about status.

I can confirm that my dealer did sell the black (not sure which black) X3 30i they had on display. They couldn't deliver it until BMW had done their official launch in Canada a week later.
