N54 Wagner Evo 1 FMIC Install
Fellow DIYer,
Just want to share some info on installing Wagner Evo 1 using OEM connectors on my 2007 335i. Removing the stock OEM is quite easy but for Wagner, make sure you remove a small plastic piece on the passenger side stated in the instruction. Those who read Wagner's instruction, you know its quite hard to read as there isnt much info and there are written in both German and English. After you prep the area, line up the connectors as you insert the FMIC . Tighten both supplied screws and one key thing is make sure you grease the connectors. The OEM and Wagner connectors are both metal and without putting some oil around it, you will have hard time getting them in. Trust me, I spend 2 hrs figuring this out and it wasn't fun. After its all done, Re tune your Cobb Stage 1 +FMIC mapping and viola. I drove the car with just Stage 1 tuned after FMIC installed vs Stage 1 + and it is very noticeable in the early throttle response and reduce in turbo lag. Anyone who upgraded FMIC should retune to the next level to release the power. |
