PROcede V3 PnP vs Helix Attache vs BMS JB2X Dyno Showdown
NOTE TO ALL READERS:
All dyno runs were done on 93 octane gas from Shell. Both PROcedes were installed by dustin and my tunes were installed by yours truely.... All other important information is included in the following paragraghs.... Here are the results of the dyno showdown..... Enjoy Helix Attache (~14.5psi): There was one limp mode on the very last run and it is obvious by the graphs. This car runs strong but has been having a problem in the top of 4th gear every time. Luckily we got two good pulls out of it today before we got the limp mode. Helix is working with me directly to fix this problem, the customer support has been amazing.... PROcede V3 (Low/High Boost): I honestly think that something was wrong with Ben's PROcede today. The numbers that it put down just weren't right even though the boost was (~12psi/~15psi respectively). PROcede V3 (low boost map): Sam's car had a great showing for only running ~12psi and us being unable to switch the maps. Whoever said two heads were better than one weren't thinking about us two.... We tried to load the Stage 1 map for high boost and open element air filter but it just didn't work. We will be going back next saturday with his car and mine to re-dyno. He will be running the high boost map for people with open element air filters and I will be putting down a stock baseline for all of us to use. Same dyno, different day but still close enough.... BMS JB2X (~14-15psi): (drum roll)... The best performer of the day was the BMS JB2X. This was unexpected by all of us since I am currently the Helix Attache and Sam and Ben run the PROcede V3. Both of these tunes are much more aggressive and put down higher numbers than the BMS JB2X (according to tuner dynos). Basically the way it worked was that I dynoed with the Helix Attache and then while Sam and Ben dynoed, I uninstalled the Attache and installed the JB2X. All in all it was about 25 min or so. I then did some adaptation runs with JB2(.5)HR and made sure it was ready to dyno. After the second run I turned it up a little bit, and then a little bit more on the final run. The dyno reads like this: Dynorun 4 and 5: JB2(.5)HR Dyno run 6: JB2(.75)HR Dyno run 7 JB2HR Keep in mind I did no adaptation between run 5 to 6 and 6 to 7. I just turned up the X and let her rip...... Last edited by e90AW335i; 05-24-2008 at 07:31 PM.. |

Also, I can put the AFR graphs up as well. I also want to post up the graph by RPM so it is more useful for everyone.
All in all it was a fun ass day out there. As I stated earlier Sam and I will be going again next week. He will be dynoing the high boost/open filter map on the PROcede and I will be dynoing a STOCK car for a baseline. I have a feeling this dyno reads VERY low.... |

BTW, it'd be really helpful if you could show the graphs with RPM. If you can't, just email me the .drf files and I'll switch them into the mode to display RPM. PM me for email address.

I forgot to bring my laptop charger so my laptop was dead and I couldn't manually change the maps either

Good job organizing the dyno day.
Quick question: I don't know anything about Ben's car. Was he the guy that was having problems running some aftermarket BOV? Was it ever removed? Uhcoug2011's results look right in line with the map he was running. I'm sure we'll get the full power map activated in time for the next dyno day Cheers, shiv |
