Help! What is this plug??
I posted a while ago about oil leaking onto my exhaust manifold and burning off causing fumes to enter the cabin. I finally found the leak, but I have no clue what the plug(?) is. You can see the plug in between the manifold flanges in the second photo.
You can see the oil beading up on the exhaust flange in the first photo attached. It appears to be weeping out of the plug, collecting on the flange and dripping on the manifold below. Does anyone know what this plug is for? I figure I'll pull off the exhaust manifold, remove the plug, coat the threads in high-temp RTV and hope for the best? |

So I finally received the part numbers listed and the screw plug is not the same. The screw plug in the cylinder head is a female hex style and the part I received, p/n 11-11-7-535-694, is a male torx style.
Anyone know if the two are interchangeable? I'd rather not pull the headers off to find out... |
