Traded 335i for Silverstone e90 M3

I needed the extra doors so I considered the 535i with the optional 19" wheels until if fired up the engine on the M3. It spits and sputters a little like an American V8 and I love it. I chose the Silverstone with the red interor.

I don't know how to drive the car yet but I can see how a modded 335i can get the jump on an M3 if the driver is not familiar with the car. My AA XEDE felt much quicker down low and top end for that matter but I've been babying the car till I reach the 1200 mile break-in period.

The M is more comfortable and I love the padded steering wheel. The gearshift is better than the B&M Ripper that was in my 335i. The scary thing is that it does not take much effort to put it in reverse so I have to be careful to select first when I take off. I did not have that issue in the 335. Also, as with any normally aspirated engine I get instant response without lag.

Anyway, I miss the modding options available for the 335. Noelle has a chip and a 2nd cat deletion pipe which yields 62 hp. I've yet to see the price but I bet it is very expensive.

The old school M3 wheels just doesn't cut it for me on the e90/e92 M3
