ccid 121 passenger side
passenger side light went out so naturally thought it was the bulb. jacked the car up and replaced bulb but the light did not go back on. so i see on my dash ccid 121 which is FRM 121 Dipped Beam Right Failure. I am struggling to find any information on this. There is no moisture in the headlight, just the adaptive headlight has never worked on that side.
121 Footwell module\n(FRM) Right-hand low beam headlight failure! Low-beam headlights Right-hand low beam headlight failure. have problem checked by nearest BMW Service Workshop. please dont send this link its not useful http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...d.php?t=797895 I am thinking is it just time to replace the whole assembly with an ebay knock off??? |

Ok just so people know, I was told it might be the ballast for the HID. So this weekend I will be taking the bumper off and replacing both. Will come back on for an update. If it works I will supply the youtube video of where I found the fix

If not bulb then it's likely the ballast. Aside from swapping ballast from the working side to the other, the only other solution is to test the ballast (I wouldn't know how in detail) or buying a new one to try. I wouldn't recommend any ebay knock off. We offer OEM BMW Replacement HID ballast if you need them.
