Now I need a brand new headlight???

Hey guys,

Three months ago I went to the dealer so they could change my H7 bulb. After 1 year of having the car, it blew out.

Well just 2 weeks ago the bulb went out. I went back to the dealer to find out what happened. They told me the bulb actually broke, because " It was missing the housing mount where the bulb plugs into. I will need to purchase a brand new headlight which is $400.00". How can this be?

My question is whether or not this is normal or could this have been sabotaged? Another thing, Instead of buying one headlight, im thinking of buying those aftermarket halo headlights. But im concerned it wont take care of my problem with the missing component.

Take a look at the pics. Im even missing the plastic cover..

Sounds like BS to me. If you need a new headlight I can get it to you for cheaper than $400. Im local as well.

i had some condensation inside my headlamp,
dealer said i "tampered with the seal" so they cant warranty it.
Quoted me $1000 for a new headlamp, and $600 just to take off the front bumper to "check and diagnose the problem."
That is BS.
Dealers suck some big cock meat sandwiches.
