Procede map settings update

QUick question. I wasn't sure on this.

I just updated from v.2.01 to v2.02.

WHen updating the map, will the torque settings default back to stock for v2.02.

I had upped my v2.01 settings, and i didnt check what they where when i switched to the new map.

Basically, what should the v2.0.2 2-26 mt torque settings be across the board?

I was running at 88% across the board in order to stay at around 15psi. All cars are different though. Start at default and data log; go up or down as needed.

nice! use that to gauge the psi u are running, rather than the procede software. Peak recall is your friend

yep, thats what im doing. plus since i installed procede 2.0, i added the bms filter kit and its gotten substantially hotter. im guessing thats why i am seeing the higher boost.

Wow 2.02 feels much better. Still spiking, got up to 16.6. Time to lower the settings.

Lower those things a lot.....

Something else to think about is to lower them in the area where you have the spikes but keep it higher in other spots.

Be careful out there man, 16.6 sounds scary....

I am glad u finally uploaded that new map V2.01 had major boost spike issues!!!!!!!! Not that V2.02 12-26 map doesn't, but its not a significant as V2.01....Your lucky that nothing happened to your car with that map...I would set the torque settings of the 2-26 map to about 89-90% max!!

Well the spikes are , just that spikes, for fraction of a second, but they do get up there. Last day I had 2.01, I hit 20 psi. I got really pissed and drove straight home and updated the map. Im still seeing spikes up to 16 though. Whats up with that? Could my bms filter have anything to do with it. I have the tq settings right now at what ever they come stock with 2.02. i think 91 is what I recall seeing. Ill drop it down to 90 tonight. I thought all this was resolved already. when is 2.1 map coming out, since 3 seems to be far away for the time being.

You will not see V2.1 its just not happening I think...Now that u have boost guage just set the torque settings and play around with it until you see no spikes over 15...thats what your Rix effect digital guage is for!!!!!!!!!

Are the spikes at throttle closure? If so, it's been said that's normal and your engine doesn't see those pressures.

I wonder if v 3.0 resolved this boost spike issue, or is it just part of the game when dealing with aftermarket tunes like this.

So im starting to notice everytime a new version comes out, there some new logic that takes care of spikes, but the spikes are still there????

Time to lower boost down. Shame, im sure im pulling HP and TQ too.

335lvr, im not sure right now, it seems like when i shift it does it sometimes, and that i know is normal, but sometimes, i accelerate hard and as the rpms climb, the boost passes right by 15 psi and keeps going. Im going to do some more testing.

After reading all this stuff, got me wonder how much i was boosting when i was running @ 94% stupid me didnt even data logged. I lowered my settings back to 92% and I am using the 2-29 map, there is a big difference now, car dont even spin in 3rd gear as before. I did a quick datalog and it showed me 14.3PSI, not sure if the datalog was taken right. But if it was, I imagine I was boosting way over 15 for quite some time . I am working to get my gauge set up

yeah boost guage is a must have when you are tuned!! I am still missing my car performance wise after going back to stock

But I still have my boost guage and its showing numbers of 8-9 psi max, which feels like a turtle!!lol

8 to 9, stop torturing yourself.

Remy, check the boost now with your gauge. Accelerate hard in 2nd and 3rd and let me know where your boost climbs too. Tek818 had to lower his tq settings to 88 to eliminate the spikes. Im at 91 i think, and I hit 16. Im going to drop it down to 90.0 tonight and see what happens.

Ok keep me posted. Yeah it sounds like a loose connection, due to the flickering you are experiencing.

Call me, im curious to see what boost numbers you are seeing.

Ok I did some more testing today.

Ok this situation I can replicate everytime. Car is fully warmed up. Im in 4th gear, downshift to third and gun it, boost climbs very rapidly but keeps going up to 16.6 to 17.1, only for about a quarter second, then drops down to 14 to 15.

So am I to be concerned with this?? Or should i reduce torque settings to ensure the boost never gets this high.

At this point we are not dealing with boost spikes between shifts, which it does as well. This is a sustained boost build which then passes 15 psi.

What does you guys think, im posting a video here in about 15 minutes.

I used to get 25psi on 90% settings... Not just spikes, i held it there for a sec to see if it would hold and it did... Go Procede!! I really look foward to the days of flashing...

Glad your getting good use out of the new gauge pikkashoe! I wouldnt trust anything but a real gauge... especially with free flowing mods, etc.
