I think the best options are either fully blacked-out or just black-out slats with chrome surrounds.

Someone here had a montego e92 and painted the surrounds body colored and I thought it was .

Going to assume you have a coupe not sedan.......

If you are blacking out your kidney grills in any way, you need to black out the lower mesh grille as well. IMO, it doesn't look with black grilles and the silver/titanium lower mesh grille. Best thing is to buy them and swap parts until you find the combo you like.

I have attached 2 pics:

1- painted surrounds with chrome slats and silver lower mesh
2- painted surrounds with black slats and black lower mesh

I went with 2 since it looks much more meaner, but I guess to some it looks ......

I agree with the above. Unless you get the black lower mesh, the balcked out kidneys don't look right on the car. I like the look of akack79's car with the outsides painted. If you have a black car, I think the outside chromed would look good also. If the mesh grills weren't such a pita to replace, I would get them.

Body color surrounds, and chrome/black center. That is what I did with my E46 and what I will do when I get my E92 also....but I think it depends on your car color too...

For some reason those pictures look much better than these other ones I saw. Btw, I didn't actually think you'd see this thread haha. Didn't mean anything by the notion.
