F36 TPMS

Hi chaps,

Have tried some googling about, but can't find the answer to this...

Have recently bought a March 2015 435D with 442 Orbit grey alloys running winter tyres.

Want to get a set of used 442 wheels and summer tyres and I'm seeing them out there, but the tyre valve stem appears black (rubber?) rather than the silver metal of mine.

I'm thinking these black (rubber?) valve stems can't be fitted with TPMS sensors and I need to find the silver versions.

Anyone know if the TPMS, compatible with my F36, came with black valve stems??

Cheers
Nick

The black rubber ones wont have TPMS on them, but you can buy some to put on.

Im sure you can get them cheaper, but these are an example.

Thanks Abzynthe,

Thats what I feared. Makes a cheap looking set of 442m's expensive.

One other thing....

If I change my wheels/ fit other TPMS sensors, do I have to code them to the car, or just do a TPMS reset through iDrive to get the car to recognise them??
