Appear to cover the model designation on the boot, what id guess to be xdrive on the other side as well as the m badges on the wings.

I'd guess it was a late prototype maybe?
All the BMW badges were covered, including the one on the steering wheel.

Would have to look twice.

There is something about it that I quite like. Need to see it in the flesh though.

Thanks for sharing.

No sure about that. I think it looks alright, assuming it's not on the same fwd platform as the 2AT?

Cool pics cheers. I cannot believe on a new G series they have brought back that line across the bonnet Ruins the front look somewhat.

Otherwise a fair effort BMW, although might have been best for the C pillar rounded to be kept to the 8 series or something.

Yep!

The X2 is meant to be a new exciting model attracting a new demographic to the brand.

And what colour do they launch it in? Dull, dull, dull, dull, dull grey!

I hadn't picked up on that line across the bonnet!!
Now I can't look at the picture without it glaring out!! Take your point!!

If the new X4 looks like a bigger version of this, I think it'll do well!!

The fact they'd covered all the badges, they probably wanted this one to blend into the background?!

Why bother? It's blindingly obvious it's a BMW.

Yeah the G02 has been 'revealed' for some months now.

I personally think it's a huge improvement of the outgoing. The rear especially looks like a better Macan now?

Also M40D spotter in this thread.

Garage List
Is this going to be diesel only? I think you can only configure it as a diesel on BMW 's page : like the shape & size though

Think it looks really good - although the £38k for a 2.0 diesel x-drive m-sport before any options seems a bit steep!

Laziest try at disguising if you ask me!

I saw a new range rover prototype on the road lst year and literally everything except the windows and slits for the lights had been covered.... they even put what can only be described as covered hub caps on the wheels!!

It's a little thing BMW until the car is officially launched. To you and me it's blatantly obvious it's a BMW but they cover the badges up until launch date.
