Question abt SSTT

just recently purchase a SSTT
heard about the new software update will be able to detect it
mine is a 08 335xi coupe however i pick it up around Christmas Time 07
so i assume my car was not using the newer software correct ??
as i am about to install it to my car , any other SSTT having problem ??
thanks for any information

You will be fine - if you got it around Christmas time, it probably was built in Oct/Nov - mine was built in Nov and runs the SSTT no prob and it rocks for the money! You would have to have a March 08 or later build date to worry about the new software and apparently the SSTT is proving to be ok with the new stuff also.

Don't dealers flash your car with the new program when you bring it in for service?

I was just in for service and warranty work and they didnt flash my car.

Once the Isis system is up and running at all the dealerships, all cars will be quickly scanned for current programming. If the computer detects an older programming and there is a new one available then it will automatically update to the newest level.

For now it will only be updated if there is a TSB that says they need to bring all cars of a certain model to the new version whatever that may be.
