335 vs 340 exhaust

I just experienced the m performance exhaust on 340i and i was blown away. Its super quite in comfort and when you switch to sport it wakes up and its loud in a good way. But i don't feel the same for my 335i. Sport vs comfort doesn't make much difference unless you are pushing the car hard and the valve opens.
On a side note mine is stock exhaust but after listening to the m performance exhaust on 340 am sold on it. Am thinking to get it for my car too.
Do you think it will sound the same on mine ? As the salesman told me that 340's are alot louder than 35's

i would assume they are the same. considering how the 340i and the 335i have different drivetrain platform, i would assume the sound difference may be from the completely different engines. Different catalytic converter system as well... A downpipe, stock cat and highflow cat downpipes generate different tone on the 335i MPE exhaust.

They sound different because the exhaust manifolds are comletely different as are the single turbos each one has.. The B58 having the better turbo and exh mani. Thats why it sounds different and perhaps better.

I have test driven 335 with M performance exhaust a year ago. As far as i can remember it was a lot quiter than the 40. Maybe i am wrong because it was a while ago.
Also i found that the vlave in exhaust is lot better as it open right away when you put it in sport mode on the other hand you have to push the 335 to get it open.
