BOV install gone wrong, help!!
Hey Guys,
I tried to install the AA BOV kit today, its my first time working on a E92 plus on top of that I'm not very experienced with mechanical work. Anyhow, Everything seemed fine, followed instructions, the fitment of the pipe from both ends gave me a hard time, but it seem pretty secure. after installing everything, I fired it up and went for a drive. At first it revv'ed okay. Kinda sounded faint. Went around the block and it sounded even more faint, then a sign came on my dashboard, I checked the book, it means " Engine does not have full power. It is safe to continue your journey but to take it easy " Something along those lines. Any suggestions?? I'm worried, I dont wanna damage the car. Maybe its a leak due to improper installation? I capped off where I was suppose to and everything, I might take it to a shop to get fixed, any input guys? |

well it might be because he drives a 330ci and therefore does not need a BOV?

Hilarious...Good eye man. Non-mechnical people shouldn't dick around with their cars as a general rule

Check your charge pipe that connects to the intercooler...i bet the coupling fell off or something...there is not enough plastic on the AA's pipe to keep it secured...same thing happened to my friend. And is ur vacuum line hooked up properly?

I actually feel a big difference in my shifting now. There used to be a delay and surge in power when I went to shift. I feel a clean transition now without a delayed response in power like I had before. At stock boost levels I doubt that it would make a difference, but at 15psi and 375+whp I think it does.
