BMS Filter kit... Is it worth it

I've had the BMS filter kit sitting in my garage since Bimmerfest. I've been contemplating putting it in for no other reason then just being lazy. (I guess)

My question is this. How many of you are enjoying having the filter? Is this the one to have? Are you really seeing performance gains or is it more for the enhanced sounds of the turbo's spooling up? Your feedback is appreciated...

I'd read up on all the options available before you spend your money, especially in light of recent events.

It is worth the money.

All of the flange failures that have happened have been because of bad installs. As long as you make sure the adapter supports the flange fully you will be fine...

If you look at all of the pictures posted about the failures you can see that the adapter sticks too far out....

Also, BMS has the newly designed one out with stronger flanges and even more surface area than version 1.

It is a great deal and provides the same power as the competition....

I love my BMS filter, brings a whole new experience to the car. Throw it on, if you dont like it, take it off, it only costs $100 so its not a major financial drawback either.

I think its great, and mine is fine, no torn flanges.

Hey theres a new version with more surface area? I didnt know that. Oh well, cant make any difference I would assume.

funny, we use to say that about the PROcedes and we would get laughed at.

Sorry, OT.

ok, so I was out roostin around a little bit... First impressions are, I don't really notice any difference right away with the butt dyno. However, I do hit the 14-14+psi on boost a little easier. I definitely hear the hissssssssss when I give it gas and I do hear the turbos more... Im cool with it...I give it a thumbs up

i like it, the sound is addicting regardless of the actual performance gain on it.

I like it more for the sound more than anything. Yeah I seem to hit 15psi alot easier with it.
