Part 2: PROcede V3 PnP vs Helix Attache vs BMS JB2X Dyno Showdown
UPDATE: Results are below. I dynoed JB2X and V3, uhcoug2011 dynoed V3 and a stock baseline. Ben and Hunter's cars are still up there and I do not have the files. They will post their results on their own. All maps used for the V3 are 29.2 and v81 compatible.
Also, I am not posting the Helix dyno against these because the cooling today was MUCH MUCH better, as you can see by the results.... Okay so it is not really part 2 since I am not re-dynoing the Helix Attache, or BMS JB2X today but three cars will be dynoing with the PROcede high boost map on the same dyno we used last time. A couple of things to keep in mind: Today is going to be about 10 degrees cooler, and shiv will be there to make little "tweaks" to two of the cars. The cars participating are as follows: uhcoug2011: 2007 e90 BMW 335i Steptronic BMS filter kit PROcede V3 PnP (High Boost Map) NOTE: Sam will be running a generic map with no tuning done by Shiv. Hunter399: 2008 e92 BMW 335i (v81 ECU) Steptronic BMS filter kit RPi Intercooler Borla Catback Exhaust PROcede V3 PnP (High Boost Map) NOTE: Hunter will have tuning done by Shiv. Nakashima: 2008 e92 BMW 335i 6MT BMS filter kit PROcede V3 PnP (High Boost Map) NOTE: Ben will have tuning done by Shiv. e90AW335i: 2008 e90 BMW 335i Steptronic Dual K&N Cone Filters NO TUNE (stock baseline)

Kyle .... Let me get this straight. You're in Houston, and Shiv has personally travelled from CA to "tune" the V3 cars for today's dyno? Or is he just coincidentally in the area and available to do a few tweaks?

Cool, this is more of what I want to see. Now if everyone can run regular old pump gas it'd be more realistic to average people. Not a lot of mods and pump gas more equals real world scenarios...

It would be interesting to get some non tweaked numbers on the procede to see numbers for "off the self" as opposed to a custom tune. I remember on my WRX there was quite a difference between the two.

Okay first off this will probably be the best comparison that you will see in a long time. The baseline dyno was done on Sam's car and he also did V3 as well. We ran JB2X and V3 on my car....
Here are the results: uhcoug2011 (Stock vs V3): uhcoug2011 (all V3 runs, high and low boost): e90AW335i (Stock vs V3): e90aw335i (all V3): e90AW335i (stock vs JB2X): e90aw335i (all JB2X): e90aw335i (v3 vs JB2X): Green is JB2X, Blue is V3

Read the manual please, just do it before asking!

Wow! Thanks for your efforts! My first question: why go for V3 when JBX delivers exactly the same with the DME still controlling things?

e90AW335i I know Im beating a dead horse here, but hopefully someone in Texas can help.
Since folks are getting V3 there, does ANYONE have catless downpipes? I really really really want to know if anyone can get O2 readiness with the new V3 maps. |

As I stated, you will get different answers depending on who you ask. You see the numbers, you just have to decide which one is more important low end torque, or hp up top....
