Flimsy roof panel and dents

Hey everyone, I'm curious about how everyones non sunroof roofs are holding up. I've had the paintless dent guy out 3 times in 4 months. It's crazy how flimsy the roof panel is.

No issues at all. How are you getting dings in your roof?

Once It was from a palm frond falling on the car. The other two times I can't say, I noticed them when washing the car and have never found anything on or near the car.

Given that this is the only time I have seen it brought up on the forums... I am going to say this is not a common issue.

I kinda wanna do this too but the price after install makes me question if it's worth it.

Carbon fibre won't dent. It either stays rigid or it gets hit so hard it cracks and breaks.

It's also way stronger than the OEM steel roof panel so I wouldn't be too concerned with palm fronds and acorns and that sort of thing.

I think the easiest solution for OP is to just stop parking under palm trees.

The thing is, I never park under tree's. 40+mph winds are a pain and that instance was just bad luck.

It doesn't explain how I'm getting dents on the roof when there isn't any clear sign of what caused it. The solution is to replace the panel with CF but I'm just not keen on the cost of install.

Maybe some birds learned to drop things on your roof to crack them open. Could just be extreme bad luck. Very strange.

I just can't help but think the panel itself is very flimsy. It's very easy to flex the roof when you're wiping it down. Frustrating only because my "luxury" car feels like an econobox

Correct. A lot.

I am currently weighing the cost of the new headliner and labor.

Labor is almost as much as the panel costs.

Would having the roof wrapped in the thickest PPF possible help in any way? Just a thought, I don't yet have any first-hand experience.
