Dinan stg II Dyno coming soon !!!!!!!

Finally I have an appointment this Wednesday evening to get this thing dyno'd... I wonder how she'll do? Anybody want to make any predictions? To help with the boost, I have the following: Dinan Stage II flash, 2ndary cat delete w/ Dinan free flow exhaust and the BMS intake. Oh, and 100 octane.

I swear my hopes are not up...

Looking forward to it. I'm guessing you have the 6MT and the actual working flash, right?

Attorenyscott put down 339.8rwhp and 370.5rwtq SAE with Stg. II (non-revised) and Dinan exhaust. He had 1/8 tank 93 oct. and 7/8 tank 104 oct. This was on a Dynojet. He and I have an appointment at 2pm on Friday to get our Stg. III on the same dyno he ran his Stg. II on. Temps were in low 80s on his first dyno...Friday's high is expected to be near 100 degrees.

I'd guess somewhere between 325 - 340HP, depending on the size of cooling fans and ambient temperatures.

With the Dinan tune, I believe cooler temps (especially at the dyno) will result in better hp numbers.

What's the altitude in Camarillo Ca?

Actually I do, I started mixing octanes and it eventually led to full tanks all the time...

Hey guys, I just got my Stage II this morning...and a new fuel pump (recall). I did a search on the Dynojet to see where the closest one is and DynoJet Reaserch has an office about 10 miles away from me here in Montana. I hope they have a Dynamometer for the public. I am curious as to what it will do at elevation, 4800 ft. Thanks for the help Andrew!

Because of your elevation, the "corrected" numbers will be grossly inflated compared to sea level results that everyone is used to seeing. The "uncorrected" numbers will be the most comparable but slightly deflated due to the fact there there is always some power loss associated with running a turbo engine at altitude.

If that's what you run all the time, then go for it. But it would be interesting to see what kind of gains 100oct provides over 91oct for your particular tune. Who knows, maybe 100oct doesn't help at all and you can save money and inconvenience by running pump gas. Or maybe it's worth 30whp and race gas makes more sense.

If dyno time permits, it may be interesting to dyno with a nearly empty tank of 91oct pump gas. Then dump in 5 gallons of 100oct and do another 5 or 6 runs (for adaption). And see the difference.

Agreed, I'll do some research and see if there are any stations around that carry 100. if that's the case, I'll burn through this tank, fill up with 91, if I have time, burn that off, get some hundo back in and see what happens...

He clearly stated that he runs 100 oct all the time.

Perhaps he wants to produce the best numbers he can..and Dinan claims higher octane will result in more power.
