What is the EWG HPFP fuelling limit?
I understand the cam lobe operated single piston HPFP reaches its limit at a lower output than the early model HPFP.
Does anyone have lots of near-maxing their HPFP on an EWG N55? Is PS2 running 18psi at redline on E25 fuel with a 12.3:1 AFR too optimistic? |

So putting e25 will be worst.

Many people think early model (PWG) has a better HPFP, think again.
I know from real world experience that late model EWG HPFP is noticeably stronger. I am not talking about isolated case.

My HPFP on my PWG allowed me to run e60, hardly any other car has been capable of that.

No that was with PS2. Didn't get PI until about 7 months later. Been running full e85 ever since I got PI

I was on stock flash with just jb4 and yes I could hit 20psi with no crash but afr running to lean, thats why, so MHD bef put it back at 12.

Mine is 2014 and my HPFP was fed up with my constant pulls ..I guess.
On the drag strip I experienced couple of dead spots both in rpm and speed which resulted in a lower trap. That was later on confirmed when the the car was logged. Fortunately the N55 community will have something soon to address the issue. Have no clue about PS2...still on stock turbo. |

Short answer... 16-17psi with ~12.5 AFR on 100% petrol. My PWG car is ok at 16 - crashes at 17. Blending in ethanol = more volume = less boost for same lambda, but the gain in timing is worth it.

Thanks. Agreed regarding a bit less boost and lots more timing with a bit of ethanol. Yeah that's about what I expected. That's fine with me. I might stick to 15% ethanol and aim for 17psi tapering to 15 at redline.

Now, one time I get meth then I can put some e85 or race gas as the phfp will have the support from meth.

I'm working with CaryTheLabelGuy now on an E85 tune that will maximize the the HPFP to the best of its abilities and supplemented with PI.
