N54 battery coding and registering

Battery died last night, got a AGM bosh 94R for 07 335i from pep boys. Previous owner had a H6 regular battery. Just ordered a scanner and coder tool but it will arrive end of next week.

Do I have to code it right away or can it be driven till end of next week?
