Has anyone EVER replaced lenses on pre-LCI sedan?

I know they need to be baked and aren’t sold, but there are suppliers on Ali express that claim to fit.

Has anyone done this?

I really want new ones! Even after a wet sand and polish they have a yellow/brown tinge. It’s subtle but I want 100% new!

It’s crazy that this part of the market isn’t satisfied by one of the vendors!!! Gah

I haven't done an e90, but I replaced the lenses on my e92. Check BimmerJakes for lenses, I got my e92 lenses from him and they are perfect. 100% identical to the original ones. I think he sells e90 lenses too.
It takes a couple hours to open the headlights, take your time and be gentle. Don't touch anything chrome inside though, or it will rub off.
E90 lenses use a much stronger adhesive than e92 lenses, so it will take more time and effort. Don't use a dremel! You can use a urethane adhesive like OEM, or use Butyl if you might want to get in there again to do a projector swap, Angel eyes, etc. I'd suggest Butyl personally.

Awesome! I checked his site and they’re $229 for a set of xenon headlight lens covers. How much did you pay? It seems a bit expensive.

I used a dremel. It's fine.

I paid $130 for a pair. Considering what the headlights cost, I was very happy with that price.
He has lenses that are almost impossible to get, and the quality is fantastic. As far as I know, he is the only one to carry e90 lenses, so $230 doesn't sound too bad to me.
BTW, most BMW headlights are made in the Czech Republic, which happens to be where BimmerJakes ships from. I looked really hard, and they appear to be 100% OEM.
