Call following with BlueTooth

I haven't had the opportunity to experience this yet, though I knew it was supposed to work. My wife told me today that as she was leaving the dry cleaners she got a call, so she was talking on her cell phone as she got into the car. She said as soon as she inserted the key fob the car took over the call. That was without it being in "ready mode" and without the audio turned on.

Pretty impressive! Like I say, I knew it was supposed to do that - but it's great when these things actually work! Should work the other way around too.

I had a similar experience, but have comfort access. As soon as I touched the door handle and opened the door the call switched to the car.
The entire bluetooth experience has been better than expected.

yes, it works but not the other way around...my calls get d'c when I remove the key fob

I remember one time picking up my car from the valet guy while talking on the cell, then as I approach the drivers side my call was intercepted by the car....the valet kid was like

"Whoa!"

Actually, you can force it to work the other way around depending on your phone.

When you turn off the car and pull out the fob, there should be a "setting" button on your phone that you can press (mid-call). There it should give you an option to switch back to the phone. This works perfectly for me.

I have never tried going out of bluetooth range to see if it switches over automatically, however. Mainly because the bluetooth range is so big that it connects even if my car is in the garage and my phone is upstairs (and I live in a 3-level townhouse, garage on bottom level only).

I was confused the first few times this happened to me.

I wish it would work the other way too. I thought it did and the first time I tried it I was opening the door to a building and I could still hear my friend talking in my car.

yeah, mine does that too, but there's usually a second or 2 of dead air while it connects

mine always drops the call is it something i should contact my dealer about or could it just be my phone?

hahaha SKA, i could just imagine that happening too lol, but everytime im out of the car and on the phone and then get in, it takes about 10-15 seconds for the persons voice to work, like they can hear me through the system but i cant hear them. It pairs perfectly though.

thats what i do. i just go the options and choose"switch to handset" and then it switches...i have the razr btw.
