Arrived from Germany, BMW covered with thick wax?

I recalled seeing the pictures of new BMWs arriving in U.S. port from Germany, and they were covered with thick wax (like candle wax??). The specialists removed the wax using high pressure hot water. I'd like to see these photographs again...

Of course, I used the "SEARCH" and I couldn't find the thread with photographs.

Thanks -chaz

They did experiment with giant zip up bags for a while but it seems they have reverted back to cosmoline (probably more cost effective and practical).

It's cosmolene. I used to strip that stuff off Acuras back in the early 90s while going thru college.
