Anyone with new pilot sport 4S!

I will be replacing my RFT next week, and will be going with the new 4S. Wanted know if anyone can share their thoughts on 4S.

Also what PSI should I be running these? I got 17s.

Just ordered mine to go along with my new APEX ARC-8s. I have gone through about 4 sets of super sports through the years, and my first impression with PS4S was very positive.

Much better wet performance, less road noise, great grip from a dig, and they tend to get up to temperature much faster. I'm curious to see how much more life I can get out of them, considering I was averaging 13-15k miles on my rear super sports.

Just ordered (4) 18" for my F30 yesterday at Costco. They don't stock them but you can have them special ordered. Excellent pricing.

I have had them on my E90 with 19" since last year and they have impressed.

PS4S are amazing tires. I think wet road traction is improved compared to PSS. I've these tires on my Z4M and I'm really impressed. This is my first ever performance summer tires experience so nothing to compare but these tires held really good on the track.

What did you end up paying if you don't mind me asking? I have access to a dealer discount at Tire Rack, but it isn't all that much.

The 4S, its a newer PSS, but you'd have a hard time telling the difference. They're both excellent. If you can find the PSS cheaper, go for it.

I replaced my PSS with PS4S's about 2 months ago. If anything it is just an improved PSS. Wet grip improvement is noticeable and dry grip improvement is negligible. That being said they are my favorite tires I've had so far.

Don't want to be Stuck with a tire that's no longer in production. 4s are reasonable price. Although it's hard to find them anywhere but tire rack

The pricing from Costco with installation and taxes came out to 2 dollars less than having them shipped to me from TR ( installation not included). I got 265/40/ZR18 and 235/45/ZR18.

The Costco were $1049 and change with install+taxes included.

Okay so a slight derailment question... I have the PSS square setup on my e90 335xi. 225/40/18 on style 162 rims (I have four of the wider rear rims all around... the 8.5" wide rim). While I love the PSS and I easily have 20k miles on them so far (still have a lot of tread remaining)... has anyone tried the Firestone Indy 500 which is actually at a dirt cheap price compared to the PSS or the PS4S?

I've been hearing a lot of reviews that say they are comparable to the PSS at a fraction of the cost. For a great street tire at 50% the cost... how can you beat that???

Agreed. You absolutely get what you pay for with tires.

Yes, see my thread: Michelin PS4S finally available in 18's at Discount Tire Direct for great price!! https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1464429
I love them coming from the PSS RFT to regular PSS to these. DiscountTireDirect got them for around $700 after rebate.

Just had my PS4 installed two days back. Really night and day diffrence if you are coming from RFT. Got it at discount tire for $886 (for 17s), thats with tax and $25 warrenty per tire. Plus they have $70 rebate on top of that so it will end up $816 after rebate.

I've had them on for 3 or 4 weeks now and love them. Much more quieter and comfortable ride than the RFTs. I had the AS3+ on my previous E90 before trading it in for my current E92 and would probably get those again after I burn through these. Ride was pretty much just as quiet/comfortable but mostly because they'd last much longer, plus I don't track so don't need the added performance.

That's a good deal
I think I paid close to $1200 wiht mounting but I've 19" wheels...so more expensive.

But I've to stick to my tire shop to mount, cannot give my wheels to Costco for mounting.
